Holy Questioner and Divine Judge,
you allowed yourself to be stretched out
upon the Roman cross.
May this bread and this cup
stretch our minds
beyond
the hurt we wish to inflict,
so divisions that make us hungry to hurt
and thirst for our righteousness to be done
come together at a table.
